The reagent is used to screen effective therapeutic drugs when infectious diseases occur in various animals.
In recent years, with the rapid growth of the scale and quantity of livestock and poultry breeding, the harm caused by animal bacterial diseases has become more and more serious, and the disease manifestations have become more and more complex. At the same time, the drug resistance of bacteria is becoming more and more common, and multiple drug resistance is not uncommon. The wide spread of drug-resistant strains has brought great difficulties to clinical treatment.
Although the laboratory drug sensitivity test can provide specific and accurate guidance for clinical drug use, it is often difficult to submit for inspection every time a disease occurs in production, which takes a long time and costs a lot, thus affecting the therapeutic effect. The mixed infection in the farm is becoming more and more serious, and it is difficult to inject drugs, which causes huge waste. In order to solve this problem, this product uses color culture technology to cultivate the pathogenic bacteria of animals with bacterial infection, combined with drug screening, to provide powerful help for clinical drug use.
Application principle
The self-made special color indicator is added to the improved universal culture medium, which does not affect the growth of microorganisms and the efficacy of antibacterial drugs, and can easily identify the color changes caused by microbial growth. When bacteria grow in the culture tube, the color of the liquid in the tube will change from blue to light or fade. When an antibiotic is added to the tube, if the bacteria cannot grow, the liquid in the tube will not change color, indicating that the antibiotic is effective to the bacteria. On the contrary, if the bacteria can grow, the liquid in the tube will become light or fade, indicating that the antibiotic is ineffective to the bacteria.
Sample collection:
For living animals: collect nasopharyngeal swabs, saliva or nasal juice for respiratory diseases; Collect anal swabs or feces for digestive tract diseases; Cows with mastitis can collect milk; Endometritis can collect uterine secretions.
Dead animals can collect organs or tissues with obvious pathological changes.
